I learned today that my dear, dear friend Billie's sister and her infant son were bludgeoned to death last night.
I am at a loss.

I *just* read about this in the newspaper! I'm SO sorry...how utterly tragic.
That is such a terribly sad story. My heart aches for that family.
Oh my friend...I have no words. Thinking about you and their family.

I cannot believe that there are people in the world who would do such a thing. This shakes my faith in human nature. These are people living semi-normal lives and then one day they just bludgeon a defenseless innocent baby to death? This was this woman's boyfriend? There is no recovery from such an act, a person such as this deserves no further effort or kindness made on his behalf. May they lock him up and throw away the key. He's lucky he's not torn limb from limb.
OMG Heather, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I wonder why we have to live with such horrible people? My heart goes out to you and your friend's family; sending you a hug from blog land, wish I could give you one in person.
Heather, I was catching up on my blog reading today and this stopped me cold. I only heard a whisper of what happened because I was out of touch with life that week but it hurt my heart! I just can't wrap my head around it. I'm so sorry for you, Billie and the rest of the family. What a senseless tragedy!
