He swiped my camera on Easter, and this is the last photo in a series of about 15 self portraits I found when I downloaded the photos that evening. I like it because you can see every taste bud, and every pigment variation in his beautiful (there his daddy's) eyes.
A couple for the end of the eve. Moments before my brother got to our house for Easter, this is what Natalie looked like. She got a princess rubber stamp from the easter bunny. I guess she couldn't find any paper.
And the easter bunny also brought lots of chocolate eggs. Apparently she wasn't hungry, but was in the mood for a spa treatment. People pay big bucks to have chocolate (or mud, or seaweed) spread over their bodies. Please forgive the nonny shot, I didn't realize (wait yes I did, she was wearing a chocolate covered pair of panties that she ditched.) that she was 1/2 naked. But that 's how we roll 'round here.
All I have the energy to say today is that mom and I spent 6 hours inside IKEA today. Yes. We got there at 11, we left at 5. Together we spent well over $1000. I would have spent another $1500 if a. I had $1500 and b. the unit came in another color other than white. I can't put white in my living room, it won't fit. Unless someone with better taste than my mom and me can tell me otherwise. Because if it came in a different color, I think I may have maxed out my credit card (not really, but put a serious dent in it). It was this totally cool built in looking entertainment center for our upstairs. It would finish the room. I'm still daydreaming. My feet hurt too, I decided to wear my sassy cowgirl boots. They aren't so comfortable after walking around on concrete for 6 hours. That's what happens when I get a day free from children I guess. 6 hours!
I like to think of today as a training run... I scrapbooked 12 hours today in preparation for the 20 hours I'll be doing this coming Friday. Sara, Rebecca, Jen and I went to the Mothers of Multiples fundraising crop (interesting group) despite the Spring snow storm. My minivan is a total turd in the snow. And it's not just me being a wimp. Although I have let my husband be chivalrous all these many years and drive me to work when the snow gets a bit deep. There's something to be said about being "helpless" sometimes. Gives him an ego boost, and makes me think "my hero", even though I could be a big girl and do it... where's the fun in that? And why have each other around if not to lean on once in awhile?
So the snow is quickly melting, so mom and I are heading to Coquitlam BC in the morning to shop to our hearts delight at IKEA. And Costco. And a few places in between. Costco CAN is cool because they have this juice (I'm sure I'll post a pic) called fruit & veggie juice, kind of like the V8 Fusion, a great way to sneak in a few more veggies. Or in our case here, some veggies. (period) But this juice comes in juice boxes to pack in the kids lunch! So I'll have to pick up a few cases of that fo' sho'.
Would post snow pics and such, but I'm pooped. Oh, and the kids got to go to Jungle Playland with Gramma today to celebrate cousin Annie's 5th birthday. Sounds like they had a terrific time.
Pregnancy never seems to leave you, huh? Besides the extra belly flap I carry around now, every once in awhile when I sneeze... I think you know. Just a little reminder of childbirth I suppose. A happy reminder of the trauma my body went though, child birth is hard enough to leave a legacy. Yippee for me. I thought my 2 beautiful children would be my legacy, but no... I have to pee my pants while I make dinner.
Sitting here watching the snow fall. It' been snowing since 7 am this morning has hasn't quit. Now it's accumulating. Doesn't mother nature know I have to scrapbook in the morning!! Damn her!
Well mom has 2 magnetic knife racks for me, and I just ordered the spice tins online. They were on sale, and when I looked at IKEA's website, I didn't see anything that matched my needs. So I have 40 of these tins heading my way. And it was cheaper than going to Linens and Things (and they are a cool square shape. Which is more space effecient too).

Sun was shining, and big flakes were falling again. But much to the dismay of the kids the snow didn't last long or stick.
Won "most buncos" (2) last night. Quite an undignified win. Most people win with several buncos. But I still took my $60. I ain't too proud.
And the big play structure sold yesterday, that's another $60. My IKEA trip is starting to look pretty promising. Mom and I are going Sunday morning, and we're thinking about checking out the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival. Apparently there are over 36,000 Japanese cherry trees in the BC area. Should be quite beautiful. But we may also just spend the day lost in IKEA.
