Payola

I had a bit of a childcare crisis this morning. I had an appointment for my "annual exam"(wink, wink). All my options were not viable and of course the one week my husband works early is this week.

I was pleasantly surprised (and so was the doc) at how well behaved and respectful my children were! Totally floored.

So as a "thank you" I surprised them by taking them to Rocket Donuts (owned by X-Files executive producer Bob Goodwin). My theory was to reward my children even when there wasn't a promise of a reward, showing that good things happen to you when you do good in the world. Donuts being the karmic payoff. My theory is sound, no?
