Growing up

Today the kids had their checkups. Brady weighed in at 48 pounds, and he's 46 inches tall (3 foot 10). Natalie is 34 pounds, and is 40 inches tall (3 foot 4). Natalie had one Hep A (I think) vac. and poor Brady got 4 shots today. 2 in each arm. He had to get ready for Kindergarten, which I registered him for on Monday. Gulp. Where or where did the time go? Some days I just pray for bedtime to get here, and other days I wonder "When did he get to big to curl up in my arms?" Two quotes come to mind when I think of my children growing up: "Growing up, and growing away" (my mom put that in my senior annual) and "The days are long, but the years are short". Children are a visual aid to the concept of time passing. Time sped up once I had children. Sigh.
