Finally! When I went with Larry's mom to "cowgirl weekend" a year and a half ago. We stopped at a winery called the Blackjack (it was in the movie Sideways) and I bought a couple bags of corks and they have sat in my garage since then. So last night I finally bought a couple band clamps and this morning I made my cork trivet.

Cute! What incredibly talented friend gave you instructions for that? Because it is kinda like rocket science. Did you stamp the ends of the cork or did they come that way?
Yes Jen, you wonderfully fabulous, incredibly good looking friend. You inspired the band clamp, though I had "trivet" in mind when I bought the corks.
And the corks came that way; they are spades (hence the Blackjack Winery) but some of them look like hearts, which I like.
