Can't find my camera

If I could, you would see pictures of us at Cops on Shops today. While Tracy stood on the roof of Krispy Kreme in the rain today (and Janet too!), we sat inside and munched on a donut and sipped coffee.

Every year Janet (Anacortes P.D.) organizes the fundraisers for the Special Olympics, which includes Tip-a-Cop at Red Robin, and the Cops on Shops. The donut fundraiser is fun, because a lot of local athletes come and help the officers collect money for their equipment and operating costs. Natalie bonded with one athlete in particular, and it was fun to watch the two of them interact. It seems like a thankless job that Janet does, and the proceeds aren't as large as other fundraising programs, but what she commits to these athletes and her community is a testament to her dedication as an officer. She truly cares about her community. And Brady secretly loves her. 1. Because she is in uniform (he wore his too) and 2. She lets him inspect her patrol car every year.

So we had to head down there and show our support for the Special Olympics, and the poor dispatchers and officers that were sitting in the rain on the roof of a donut shop.

And... I picked up Fats and Molly tonight. Munch's dogs. He said they were settled for the night at his house, but I couldn't resist grabbing them. I might not give them back. As soon as I find the damn camera, this blog may become a shrine to a little pug and bulldog. Oh, got to go, Molly needs me. tee-hee!
