Strep A

That's what the nurse said Brady has in his finger. But it is reacting nicely to the antibiotics, cleansing and soaking. Poor guy! So he has to do a 10 day round of the pink stuff to make sure it's dead. I guess Strep A is the same thing you get in your throat. Huh. Apparently little boys can get it from sticks in the woods, too. Here are some shots that actually caught the injury in action.

Glad to hear Brady's finger is doing better. The Strep A was probably on the surface of the skin and cut brought it inside his body. Lovely germs!

I love that you actually caught this in action! Just for fun, my theory is that the Strep A was lingering in his mouth, causing no harm, and transferred to the cut upon the usual reaction to stick it in your mouth. I asked my mom why she always told up to stick our cut fingers in our mouth, and she said it was to shut us up! Thanks Mom, really sanitary too :) Glad it's responding!!!
